The Shepherd’s Flock Christian Church was established April 2006 by Pastor Alfredo Nieto in Pearsall, TX.  From the beginning Pastor Fred’s goal was to create a church that mirrored the teachings of Jesus, by following His lead in being servants to others.  The mission is simple. Serve others to be a light that guides the Lost to Salvation in Jesus Christ.

The Shepherd’s Flock has given of itself and its members for over 18 years, never asking for anything for themselves, instead taking what others have donated and distributing every cent to the community.

  • The church helped feed over 2000 people each year during the Delmar and Fred’s Thanksgiving Dinner starting in Nov 2000.
  • Every Thanksgiving for 15 years members of the church assemble “baskets” with food, hygiene products and other items to give to a family of their choice both within and out of the church.
  • The church has been heavily involved feeding the homeless in San Antonio since 2012.  This includes many trips to Haven for Hope, downtown, “under the bridge” and to men’s shelters.
  • The church has been a constant presence at the local Nursing Home every Sunday for over 10 years.
  • Pastor Fred and Pastor Tim have also donated countless hours to families in times of need, visiting the ill at home and hospitals, assisting with funerals, marriage and personal spiritual counseling and visiting incarcerated individuals in need of guidance.
  • The church has put on several Back-to-School events, where school supplies are given away along with gift cards to both restaurants and retail stores.
  • The church Praise and Worship team have volunteered their time to help with many events within the community.  All in hopes of helping others worship and feel the presence of God in their lives.
  • The church attends and supports the “Bridge” effort in Pearsall, which comprises of multiple churches uniting to have revival-based services with the goal of reaching every resident of the city.

During all this time and all these efforts, the church has rented its current home. And although it has been a blessing, we are prepared to move on to a building we can call our own (we have one in mind).  Pastors along with the leadership of the church have been moved by God to ask for donations to help us purchase a Church Building.  This is not something we do hastily as we are a church that always wants to give instead of receiving. However, we believe that we can make a larger impact in the lives of others with a home to call our own. A place that has Sunday school classes for the children, a place that has the kitchen facilities to cook and bake the Thanksgiving dinners we give, a place with an Altar large enough to fit the Praise and Worship team and all the youth that are being moved to worship God with their gifts.  A place large enough to fit 100s of guest and visitors for revival services.  A place for the presence of God to dwell every day!

“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.”  Psalms 84: 10-12
